Styling and Photoshoot workshop
Styling and Photoshoot Workshop
Today we styled our partners using 10 garments we had brought into uni. We then did a photoshoot using the studio at the back of class and different places around the university. Talia White and Bex Griffin gave lectures on their background and expertise and then helped us along with the process. I was not confident with the camera at first but got the hang of it after a few practice shots.
Macy was first shot wearing a bucket hat, tube top and check pink trousers giving a festival/ streetwear style. We tried both in the studio using lighting covers of red's and blue and then again around the university campus.
I was then shot in a corduroy pink suit which gave a 'Girls Boss' smart kind of vibe. This was paired with a mesh zebra top and zebra earrings along with vinyl boots. This looked best in the studio with the contrast of the pink and blue lighting along. Talia helped me edit the photos using apps such as Bridge and photoshop.
Macy's next look was a red and black stripe jumper paired with Doc Martens Jadon boots. We shot this around the uni as it gave more of an edgy, oversized look to the images and we found this worked well with the overall aesthetic we were wanting for this shoot.

My final styling was based on party/disco vibes, with a mesh spotty tee, 70's square sunglasses and a crushed velvet mini skirt paired with vinyl boots. We shot around the Uni and also tried in the studio using props. Attempting to give the Gucci look.
The experience helped develop my camera, photography and editing skills. The guest lectures enhanced our abilities and it will be something I take throughout the project when filming, shooting and editing our film.
