Looking at footage from filming
We wanted to still keep the original footage of myself in the film as we had some good shots but felt that the overall concept was not as strong as intended. We decided to use the idea of a hint of romance in the film but a mimicking concept to make it fit the brief. The two northerners discover the city and find escape through a popular night club (Leadmill) at the end of the film. We filmed Jacob on the tram going the opposite way, walking into the vinyl shop, walking through park hill and in and out the fish shop. We wanted them to have common interests and a common sense of mundane living and find each other as the end of the film.
We spent the day filming Jacob and Macy photographed us in different location in Sheffield as we wanted the photos to match the film. The original photos taken were just of myself but did not fit the current concept.
We spent the whole day filming and looked back at the footage and fitted this in to fit our new concept brief we had came up with.
